Objectives

Due to the increasing number of vehicles impounded pursuant to the provisions of the Traffic Law, which have been found to be subject to a mortgage or judicial seizure that prevents their sale at public auction in accordance with the provisions of Article (9) of Traffic Law No. (49) of 2008 and its amendments, and due to the decrease in the value of these vehicles due to the long period of their retention without settling their status, and to preserve the rights of the mortgagee creditor or the seizing party, this draft amended law has been drafted.
